What is Soul Retrieval?

In summary:

  • Soul retrieval is a spiritual healing technique that returns + reintegrates parts of a person’s energetic body that were lost due to negative experiences.

  • The main objective is to strengthen the energetic body, resulting in the person feeling more present, centered + grounded.

  • Soul retrieval is offered two different ways — as a spiritual healing or as a hypnotic process — at TrueHeart Healing.

  • Soul retrieval is not suitable for pregnant women.

Soul retrieval is an ancient shamanic healing technique meant to strengthen a person’s energetic body and sense of wholeness. It’s also sometimes referred to as “power retrieval,” since the main objective is to return and reintegrate parts of a person’s energy or essence — traditionally called soul parts — that have been lost due to negative experiences.

Results vary, but they usually include feeling more present, centered and grounded — in other words, more whole. In addition to restoring energy, soul parts can bring back strengths, characteristics or gifts that also help the person live more fully now.

To help you learn more, below are answers to the most common questions.

What is soul retrieval?

Soul retrieval is an ancient shamanic healing technique that a practitioner uses to return and reintegrate parts of a person’s energy or essence, also known as soul parts, that were lost due to negative or traumatic experiences.

Why would someone need a soul retrieval?

When someone has negative or traumatic experiences, some of their soul parts — or parts of their energetic body — can break off, so the rest of them can leave the situation energetically. This is typically a defense mechanism meant to protect the person and help them survive, but it can become problematic.

Soul parts can return on their own, but when they do not, the person might experience a prolonged period of time with a compromised or weakened energetic body, also known as soul loss.

Examples of what can cause soul loss:

  • Abuse

  • Substance use

  • Job loss

  • Divorce

  • Death of a loved one

  • Car accident

  • Injury

  • llness

  • Surgery

What are the symptoms of soul loss?

Soul loss can cause chronic stress, sadness, anxiety, repetitive negative thoughts and/or flashbacks. People with soul loss might also feel disconnected from their body and/or struggle being present in the moment. Others might more simply feel off or not themselves.

How is soul retrieval done?

Soul retrieval is a sacred process that should be done by a highly trained and experienced practitioner. Traditionally, it resembles energy work, with the client lying on a floor or table and the practitioner working above them. Soul retrieval also can be done remotely, or uniquely at TrueHeart Healing, during a guided hypnotic process. Essentially, the practitioner bridges the physical and spiritual worlds to find and bring back lost parts that are ready and willing to return.

What is the key to soul retrieval?

As a soul retrieval practitioner, I often see or get a sense of when and why the soul parts left. This is just the beginning of the story, but not the most important part.

The key detail is the type of energy, the characteristics or the gifts the soul part is bring back for the person. Those might include a sense of joy, levity, playfulness, vibrancy, courage, strength and more. It also could mean the return of emotions, or the connection between the physical and emotional bodies.

For example, I saw that a client lost a soul part when she was bullied by a group of girls in grade school. During her soul retrieval, the part returned to her, bringing back her strength of self-expression and pride in her uniqueness.

What are the results?

Results are usually subtle and get stronger over time. They can be felt physically, energetically or emotionally. People tend to feel more present in their bodies, more grounded and better able to handle anything they are facing.

Soul retrieval can diminish stress and anxiety as well as repetitive thoughts and flashbacks. It’s like an adjustment for the nervous system. With each part that returns, the better one feels.

How is it different at TrueHeart Healing?

As an experienced soul retrieval practitioner and certified hypnosis counselor, I facilitate the sacred process two different ways: as part of a spiritual healing session or hypnosis session.

In a spiritual healing session, soul retrieval can be part of the energy work that’s performed on the client. Learn more about TrueHeart’s way of spiritual healing here.

In a hypnosis session, the client is guided through the process, visiting various stages of life and collecting multiple parts. The results have been profound.

If you would like to explore whether soul retrieval is for you, you are welcome to schedule a consultation for a spiritual healing session, or directly book your hypnosis session through our Services page. It would be a privilege to guide you through this sacred process.
